UK Urban artists storm the brits.

The nominations are in and our boys are looking good.
If there was ever a sign that UK urban acts have indeed broken down barriers and opened doors its the fact that these artists are now receiving recognition for their craft not only through chart success but by being included in what was once a mainstream pop dominated Brits nominations list. Artists like Stormzy seem perfectly at home standing shoulder to shoulder with said mainstream acts such as former One Direction star Harry Styles. This years nominations list sees a number of urban UK acts up for awards under a number of different categories. 2018 British album of the year winner Stormzy ( Gang signs & prayer ) is up for the award again with the album Heavy is the head and goes head to head with fellow South London native and Mercury Prize winner Dave who is up for the award for his album Psycho Drama.
